Shoreline and Bay | Shaping San Francisco | City History Lectures

Shaping San Francisco’s Chris Carlsson will give an engaging and critical look at the history of San Francisco’s shoreline, digging in to the much-altered and filled tidal wetlands, the original creeks that fed the bay, the fights over highrises in and along the water, the wild plans to build bridges from San Francisco in every direction, the Save the Bay movement, the amazing restoration efforts that are changing our relationship to the shoreline and much more.
