ITVS and KQED present a sneak preview screening of “The Homestretch,” a film about three homeless teens who must brave Chicago winters, high school pressures, and life on the streets to build a brighter future. Against the odds, they recover from a life of abandonment to create new, surprising definitions of home.
Free, but an RSVP is requested.
A post-screening panel and community discussion will feature local service providers and organizations, focusing on how issues of youth experiencing homelessness affect the Bay Area.
Doors open at 5:30pm. Seating is first come, first served – please arrive early

The Homestretch is part of American Graduate: Let’s Make it Happen, a public media initiative supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to help local communities across America address the dropout crisis.
