CANCELED: East Bay Burner Social | Oakland
> EVENT UPDATE: This event is no longer taking place.
East Bay Burners are a group of Burning Man devotees who all live around the East Bay and get together monthly to talk, exchange ideas, teach, learn and have fun.
The East Bay Burner Social takes place monthly in the run-up to the festival and features a different speaker or topic of discussion each time. The group is a great way to meet new Playa friends, or if you’re a beginner, to figure out what Burning Man is all about.
The East Bay Burner Socials are family friendly (kids welcome) wheelchair accessible, and to facilitate discourse, don’t have loud music.
Curious about what art projects are coming to Burning Man? In June, East Bay Burner Social will have 10 artists present their planned works, while on the big screen behind them slides and movies of their art will appear.
There will be a variety of projects, both colossus and small, each so mind blowing that you’ll want to participate in their creation…which you can. All art pieces presented will offer opportunities for you to get involved.
From a giant 747 airplane that’s being morphed into a mutant vehicle to a vision of Dreamland, this will be an evening of awe and inspiration.
