Mother’s Day Family Celebration Free Day | San Jose Museum of Art

The San Jose Museum of Art will offer a free community family day in honor of Mother’s Day The program will include hands-on art projects, immersive in-gallery experiences, and live jazz music. Docents will provide free family tours of the galleries. Admission is free.

Art-making activities will include beaded jewelry and pop-up cards, ideal for Mother’s Day gifts, and drawing based on colorful desserts as seen in the current exhibition Wayne Thiebaud: 70 Years of Painting. Gallery tours for youth and adults will focus on creative writing and poetry writing. Jazz quintet De Jazz Vu will perform on vibraphone, flute/sax, piano, bass, and drums.
