San Francisco residents will finally get free admission to the Conservatory of Flowers and Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park starting April 22, 2022

On Friday, legislation will go into effect making the Gardens of Golden Gate Park free for San Francisco residents as well as all veterans regardless of residence. The ordinance, introduced by Mayor London Breed and co-sponsored by Supervisor Gordan Mar, removes resident admission at the Conservatory of Flowers and Japanese Tea Garden for all San Francisco residents.

Non-resident fees are, unfortunately, going up. Normally $10 for adults, starting April 30th admission for the Japanese Tea Garden and Conservatory Flowers rise from $10 to $13 for adults from February through October each year.

The ordinance opens all three attractions to veterans at no cost, regardless of residence.

The San Francisco Botanical Garden is already free to San Franciscans.
