Join Peninsula Open Space Trust and San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory (SFBBO) for this fun and unique opportunity to help restore Bair Island!
This special volunteer activity has the capacity for approximately 20 volunteers. Volunteers will be guided by SFBBO’s staff and POST Volunteers, and you will spend the morning weeding invasives, or planting native species that will support Bair Island’s ecosystem. Spots are limited, so RSVP only if you are sure you can attend.
We will release more details closer to the date of the event. Keep an eye out for an email containing information about what to bring, wear, etc!
Please note that this activity is best for children ages 14+. All minors must be accompanied by adults for the entirety of the event. As Bair Island is a preserve, there are no dogs allowed. Thank you!
Please also note that we have very limited capacity for this event. If you register and can no longer attend, please be sure to cancel your reservation or reach out to us.
This event is part of POST’s community event series. These events are open to the general public and POST donors alike, and we hope you will join us! We also curate a separate series of private events for our donor community. Find out more about how you can support POST here: openspacetrust.org/support.
