Live music of the ancient Americas by Xochimochi, featuring Jim Berenholtz, Ernesto Hernandez Olmos, and Mazatl Galindo. Learn to make talismans inspired by the discoveries of the Americas and a free 7pm movie showing of “Ulama” The Game of Life and Death – the mesoamerican Ball Game practiced in Mexico for thousands of years.
Special Free Exhibit on Friday Nights: On Friday nights from March 25th to May 6th, see the special exhibit Olmec: Colossal Masterworks of Ancient Mexico for free from 5pm to 8:45pm. [details]

Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of free interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, art activities and lectures in the public spaces of the museum.Please note that admission to the museum’s galleries is not free on Friday nights, but instead all of the events listed above take place in the museum’s “free zone” right by the entrance and are free and open the public and do not require tickets.
