1911 Pardee Patriotic Picnic | OaklandThis IS your grandmother’s picnic.

This historic Pardee Home Museum in downtown Oakland hosts a costumed patriotic picnic and stereopticon Ice Cream social. Admission to this 1911-themed event  includes live piano music, a cake walk, activities like badminton and croquet, as well as a craft table for children.

Also included with your admission price is free picnic food, cold drinks and hand-cranked ice cream. Period dress (1890-1919) is very strongly encouraged. Ladies, wear your biggest picture hat.

Admission is $15 for adults, and $5 for children 5-11 years; under 5 are free.

All proceeds benefit preservation of the historic house and gardens. For information and discount for advance reservations, call (510) 444-2187.
